About Earthworm

We started Earthworm^® as a way to eliminate the collection of caustic cleaning products under our sink. We figured there must be a better way. We worried about the danger to the environment and to the people and animals we love. That concern led us to an interesting and safer approach to cleaning: household cleaning products using natural enzymes.

We realized the similarity between our enzymes and the way earthworms chew up waste and fertilize the garden — hence the name “Earthworm.” We think of them as nature’s little recyclers. We hope you’ll discover and appreciate the power of natural enzymes.

Let the worm do the work

All Earthworm^® household cleaning products use a naturally-occurring process to break down organic materials. All living things contain enzymes. We’ve harnessed these enzymes to break down food, grease and almost any other organic material. Enzymes act as a biological catalyst to increase the rate organic material is broken down. Instead of plunging, the natural bioenzymatic process does most of the work — which is why we say, “let the worm do the work!” When the task is completed, no harsh chemical residues are left behind.

Our bioenzymatic products perform as well as, or better than, their conventional counterparts that use harsh chemical formulas.
